So, is the main conflict supposed to be a order vs. chaos type of thing, or a good vs. evil type of thing? You seemed to have set up the former by saying the Old Gods are avatars of primal forces, but the actual gods themselves pull much more towards the latter, what with every Old God being sadistic or power-hungry and throwing deception into the primal group and love, nature, and humanity into the order group.
